What's the 24-Hour Community Podcast all about?
Since the start of the pandemic, we started our Big Local Community Podcast Show. The aim of the podcast was to help people reconnect and to share their volunteering journey and personal stories. We interviewed volunteers, charity workers, and leaders in our local community and across the globe. The podcast has been a great success, we have interviewed over 70 organisations and individuals in the past year, learning, laughing, and sharing along the way. We wanted to see if we could reach more people if we could grow our Podcast community and continue to inspire with our stories. The idea for the 24-Hour Podcast was born, in collaboration with One World Strong and supported by One Barn Community, we are hoping to reach people from all walks of life and charitable organisations doing amazing and transformative work in their local communities and bring everyone together to celebrate and to raise awareness of community volunteering across the globe. We feel it is important to bring all volunteers together, to unite us, and create new friendships along the way.
