The Big Local's trip to Hastings Beach will take place on Saturday 31st August 2019. This year the trip is open for our Big Local volunteers and for those involved with our Big Local activities. 

Please note: If you do not currently volunteer for the Big Local or participate in one of our Big Local activities unfortunately you're not eligible for this trip.

Not far from the capital, on England’s south coast, is 1066 Country. From earliest times to today it has been a place of creativity and escape – alternative lives lived and timeless stories told. Original by nature, it has its own take on contemporary living and culture.

Dig your toes into the sand, gulls crying overhead, the light dazzling the water. Walk the winding cobbled streets seeking out quirky shops. Feel the echoes of battle through centuries of stone.

We will be meeting outside Brabazon Community Centre for 7.30am on Saturday 31st August 2019.

We aim to depart at 8am so please arrive early.
