We had an incredible turnout at our Big Local Celebrating Community Cultures Fashion Show led by our amazing young volunteers during the Easter half-term break on Thursday 18th April 2018 at Cranford Community College. Big thanks to all our volunteers, families and friends for your wonderful and loving support. It was wonderful to see everyone come together. Also, massive thanks to those who made us some tasty homemade food and also participants at our cooking club.
We had over 50 participants in the Catwalk from children young as 4 yrs old. Thank you to Layba and Iman for hosting, Rhys and Emaan as our photographers, Kapil, Rajveer, Amadeus and Luilya who performed and our fantastic judges. Well done everyone and thank you for your community support and spirit. Everybody was a winner but a special mention to Ayisha, Sharanjit, Leila and Terry who claimed to prestigious Fashion Award for their extra special glamour!

Around 50 enthusiastic volunteers got involved with our community clean up of Henlys Alley on Saturday 6th April 2019 supported by BSAG (Burns Way and Shelly Crescent Action Group), Hounslow Highways, Henlys McDonald’s and Hounslow Council. On a beautiful April morning we collected over 50 bags of rubbish, with many bottles, crisp packets and plastic containers being picked up. Everyone was in good spirit and enjoyed themselves during the event.
After the clean up, our volunteers were kindly treated to a free McDonald’s lunch funded by Hounslow Council Community Impact Fund. The McDonald’s staff were kind, helpful and positive during our stay. It was a great end to a wonderful day, everyone felt pleased and proud of themselves. It was especially brilliant to see new people join in to kick start their Big Local journey.
We would like to thank BSAG (Burns Way and Shelly Crescent Action Group), Hounslow Highways, Henlys McDonald’s and Hounslow Council for their exceptional support.
