By Taz Virdee  On Monday 14th October 2019 we were invited to Gunnersbury Park Museum's private viewing of their new exhibition, 'Treasured Threads: Unpicking Gunnersbury’s Quilts'. After months of hard work and dedication to the project, we were proud to see our 'Portrait of Place' quilt designed by our wonderful Big Local participants & volunteers alongside the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Women's Group in Eailing. Big thanks to Ekta Kaul, Sharan Walters & the team at Gunnersbury for your support over the last few months & all our volunteers. It's amazing to know our piece of artwork will be displayed for many to enjoy over the next few years at the museum.

The project is in partnership with Sunshine of Hounslow and has been funded by Hounslow Council. This weekend (5th and 6th October 2019 from 11-1pm) we will be seeding and soiling the raised beds, if you are interested in getting involved please contact Sharnjeet Bhalla on 07878990874 for more details. Watch out for this space, in November we will be officially opening the community allotment and garden.
