Experience the highlights from the Heston In The Loop Community Engagement Event, which took place on September 16th 2023, at the Heston Community Centre. This exciting event was made possible through a wonderful partnership with the London Borough of Hounslow, ReLondon, C-Change West London and Let's Go Outside and Learn.
We were also supported by a few incredible organisations such as the Heston Action Group, Creative Spaces London, London Bike Hub, Crane Valley Partnership, and Kitche, among others. Our day was filled with a plenty of engaging activities that brought the community together in unforgettable ways. Participants had the chance to unleash their creativity by designing unique tote bags, explore the art of flower arranging, and even whip up delicious smoothies using pedal power! But it wasn't all just fun and games. Together with the local residents, we embarked on a journey to create a circular economy vision board. This collaborative effort allowed us to envision a brighter future for our community, one where sharing, reusing, recycling, and reducing waste are at the forefront of our mission. We are not only enhancing our environment but also boosting our overall wellbeing. In collaboration with Let's Go Outside and Learn and the Crane Valley Partnership, we also embarked on a community consultation focused on the River Crane. Our primary aim was to gain invaluable insights into the ways our community interacts with this natural resource, identify the obstacles and challenges hindering engagement, and gauge the sentiments of our residents toward their local surroundings.
