By Taz Virdee A Silent Burn, from writer-director Kulbir Maras, comes a silent film that tells the story of an unnamed protagonist looking back at a failed relationship. The short film was funded and supported by Heston West Big Local with Taz Virdee as the film producer. We were also supported by The Queen’s Head Pub in Cranford and would like to thank co-owner Lawrence D’Lima for allowing us to film at the pub.
Kulbir Maras, 19yrs old, was instrumental in helping us set up our Intergenerational Walking Football back in August 2016 and since the project has been a tremendous success gaining support from Sport England and Tesco’s Bags for Help. Kulbir is now studying Film at the University of Warwick and will continue to support and volunteer for the Big Local when he returns home during the holidays. We were delighted to support Kulbir with his debut directorial project and look forward to working with him in the near future. We hope you enjoy the film as much as we did creating it.
