By Taz Virdee Thursday 20th July 2017: Local families from the Heston West Traveller's community enjoyed a day trip to Brighton Beach thanks to the Big Local and Cranford Community College. The trip was organised to help build a bridge between the Big Local and the local families. For some people, this was the first time they visited Brighton Beach or the seaside.
Local parent, Clare said: "We had a brilliant time, we are so grateful for today's trip- the children have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it's been a pleasure to see the smiles on their faces as they have never been to the seaside before." A delighted Sylvie added: "It's been a great experience, my children loved every minute, it's been such a great day! many thanks to Taz and Cara for arranging it." Lacey, 10, enjoyed the opportunity to see Brighton Pier. She said: "We had a fantastic day we really enjoyed going on the pier and going on the rides. Thanks to everyone who planned it!" Her mother Jane added: "It was such a brilliant day, my children had a great time, they loved playing in the sea!" We would like to thank all the families from the Traveller's site for coming along and also Cara Canon (Cranford Community College) for her amazing support in the past few weeks helping us organise both the Brighton Trip and the BBQ.
